HOW LONG DO THEY LAST?

Swarovski and 18k gold can last months to years depending how you take care of them.

WHAT MATERIALS DO YOU USE?

I only use safe dental materials.

Gems are applied using a special adhesive similar to the adhesive that dentists use for braces.

DOES IT HURT?

The application requires no drilling and no holes and it is completely safe for your teeth and will not damage the enamel.

HOW LONG DOES THE APPLICATION TAKE?

It only takes 10-20 minutes depending on the type of gem and the quantity.

CAN YOU APPLY GEMS ON VENEERS?

Tooth gems won’t last long on veneers or fake teeth, in fact they can only be applied on natural teeth.

CAN I HAVE TOOTH GEMS WHILE WEARING RETAINERS?

Sometimes it is possible. Bring the retainers with you when you come to the appointment and we will find the best gem and position.

HOW CAN I REMOVE MY GEMS?

Gems can easily removed going to a dentist.

WHAT HAPPENS IF MY GEM FALLS OFF AFTER FEW DAYS?

It can happen and a refund is not possible but I offer free replacement (only once) if any gem falls off before one month. If you loose a gold gem then you will be charged only for the gem itself.

WHAT GEMS DO YOU HAVE IN STOCK?

Most of the 18k gold gems need to be pre-ordered before booking an appointment. I have in stock most of the Swarovski crystals in different sizes and colours but please contact me to make sure that I have in stock the gems that you are looking for.

FAQ

SCAR, STRETCH MARKS, VITILIGO CAMOUFLAGE TATTOO

Many don’t know about the medical side of tattooing. Paramedical cosmetic tattoos help to camouflage scars, burns, stretch marks, birthmarks and other skin imperfections resulting from surgeries and injuries. Micropigmentation can also be used to break up scar tissue and restore skin color for a more natural appearance.

Permanent cosmetics can disguise scars and discolorations from cleft palate, birthmarks, non-pigmented age spots, and cosmetic surgeries including face lifts, tummy tucks, hair transplants and more.

Consultations are necessary for this procedure. If you will be traveling far for this procedure we can do a consultation over the phone. The ideal candidate for scar or stretch mark camouflage is someone who’s scars and/or stretch marks are hypopigmented – meaning white. However we have multiple options for those with dark, pink or purple scars and/or stretch marks as well. This is one reason a consult is required.

Surgical scars must be a minimum of 2 years old to book a consultation. Stretch marks needs to be at least 12-18 months old for MCA dry needling or 2 years old for inking.

Does this treatment remove the scar or stretch marks?
Other than a surgery where skin is literally removed, or a scar revision, there is no way to remove them. The procedures we do help to disguise the appearance of them and rejuvenate them which helps with texture, size and more.

Can I get the treatment while pregnant or breastfeeding?
Congratulations on your pregnancy! Unfortunately, we are unable to treat women who are pregnant or breastfeeding. Call us when you’re all done!

What happens to the tattoo when I get a tan?
The tattoo doesn’t change, but your skin color does. We recommend getting it done when you are not tanned so that it isn’t darker than your skin when you don’t have a tan. Our custom blend will look natural whether you have a tan or not, so long as you aren’t tan while we do the tattoo.

What is the downtime?
This is a case by case situation as far as the appearance of the treated area, and also depends which procedure we did. However physically, you will be fine and able to return to work even the same day if you wanted. During your consultation, we can discuss and assess your skin’s estimated timeline and variables.

Do I need a patch test?

yes, you do. Patch tests can be sent out or you can sign a waiver if you don’t wish to do a patch test.

FAQ

DRY INKLESS NEEDLING (MCA)

What is Dry Tattooing?
Dry Tattooing, also known as Dry Needling or MCA Needling, has been used for many years to enhance the appearance of your skin and body without the need for invasive surgery. MCA Needling began as a treatment to relax and reduce scar tissue and became an alternative treatment to reduce the appearance of stretch marks, especially for darker skins where laser treatments or  Brazilian Camouflage Tattooing would not be advised.

What it does is creating a micro trauma targeting specific areas of skin, helping to stimulate collagen production and prompt the skin to rejuvenate itself. This treatment works directly on damaged skin, which can dramatically improve the appearance of surgery scars, burns, small trauma scars, wrinkles, fine lines, stretch marks, acne scars, chicken pox scars and sun damaged skin.

By using medical needling we are in fact tricking the brain to believe the skin has been cut and the process of healing needs to kick off and then takes place naturally by creating an inflammatory healing response. This promotes internal repair and rejuvenation. Natural growth factors are released to stimulate reformation and deposition of fresh collagen to repair the scar.

Any micro needling treatment essentially brings new life into damaged skin. No pigment is tattooed into the skin, however pigmentation begins to normalise as a result.

Note also that Dry Needling works on the specific areas of affected skin only, using the same principles causing healthy new collagen growth.

How many treatment do I need?

Generally, we recommend two sessions course about four or six weeks apart. Gradually, you will be evaluated by our therapist and she will determine if you need more treatments.

Note that following the aftercare protocol is extremely important to get the best chance of a successful result. The body healing response plays a big part in the final result, but this is not something we can control on our side!

Is this treatment suitable to all skin types?

Dry tattooing can be used on all colours of skin, but dark skins prone to over pigmentation and keloid scarring are not advised to go ahead. Once approved for treatment, scarring, hypo or hyper pigmentation are unlikely risks, as no heat is used and the surface of the skin is not removed.

All these questions will be assessed during the initial pre-treatment consultation.

      Does it hurt?

The treatment is similar to normal Micro Needling procedure. We recommend taking some paracetamol before treatment if you have a low pain threshold. Please do NOT take aspirin as this will affect blood clotting at the treatment site.

How does it look after treatment?

The procedure causes blood to come into the treated area, without removing the top layers of skin. Over the weeks and months new collagen is formed i.e. healthy new skin instead of poor quality scar tissue, stretched or creased skin. A 20-50% improvement can be seen in just one session, with a course of 2 recommended for best results.
